Haider Leads Epee After Opening Day of Ivy Round Robin

Bulldogs drop bouts to Harvard, Columbia, Princeton

Safi Haider had a big first day at the Ivy League Round Robin at Brown. Haider won seven of eight bouts and sits in first place in men's epee.
 
Yale has one match remaining – vs. Penn on Sunday at 2:15 p.m.
 
In the team competition, the Bulldogs, ranked 11th in the nation, fell to No. 4 Harvard 20-7, No. 2 Columbia 18-9 and No. 7 Princeton 17-10.
 
In other individual results, Ted Vinnitchouk is sixth in epee after posting a 5-4 record, Earnest Chen is tied for ninth in foil and Charlson Kim is 10th in saber
