NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's swimming and diving team heads to Princeton this week for the Ivy League Championship, which kicks off Wednesday at 6 p.m. with the 200 medley and 800 freestyle relay finals. On Thursday through Saturday, the morning prelims begin at 11 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m. ESPN+ will stream all sessions live.
The Bulldogs, who posted dual meet victories over Cornell, Dartmouth and Penn during the regular season, have been off since hosting the HYP meet on Jan. 29-30.
Noah Millard captured the HYP title in the 500 freestyle, posting a winning time of 4:18.99. Millard had a strong showing in the 100 and 200 freestyles as well, finishing second in the 200 (1:35.09) and third in the 100 (44.14). In addition, he was part of the 400 freestyle relay with
Philippe Marcoux, Marcus Hodgson and
Joseph Page that placed second.
Other notable finishes from HYP include:
Jean Paul Ditto, who was second in the 3-meter diving,
Jack O'Connor (3rd, 400 IM), Hodgson (3rd in 100 butterfly) and
Alex Brehm (3rd in 200 breaststroke). In the 50 freestyle, Yale had two of the three finishers as Page was second followed by Marcoux, who was third. In addition,
Alex Deng finished third in the 100 breaststroke, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Marcoux, Page,
Michael Blank and Hodgson finished second.
