200 Medley Relay Sets School Record on Opening Night of Ivy Championship

800 freestyle relay team places third

The Yale men's swimming and diving team started the Ivy League Championship with a bang.
 
In the first event of the championship, the 200 medley relay of Michael Blank, Alex Deng, Marcus Hodgson and Joseph Page set a new school record with a time of 1:26.73, which placed them fourth. Harvard was first followed by Columbia and Princeton.
 
The 800 freestyle relay of Noah Millard, Joseph Page, Philippe Marcoux and Nathan Stern placed third with a time of 6:25.43. Harvard won in a pool record time of 6:16.19. Princeton was second in 6:17.88
 
After the two events, the Bulldogs sit in third place with 106 points.
 
Action resumes with the prelims on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. Tomorrow's finals are set for 6 p.m.
