NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team has a bunch of positive momentum heading into the start of Ivy League play. The Bulldogs have won five of their last six matches and play their Ivy opener against Brown on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. The plan is to play the match on the outdoor courts.

Yale's recent success has come against challenging competition. The Bulldogs beat both Florida Atlantic and Florida International on their spring break trip and blanked Stony Brook 7-0 in their most recent match last Sunday.

Yale and Brown have met twice in 2021-22. In the fall at the Bulldog Invitational, Yale won five of six singles matches and all three doubles matches. At the ECAC Championship in February, the Bears topped the Bulldogs 4-1.

Brown wrapped up its non-conference play on Wednesday, falling to Florida Atlantic 4-3.

Yale has its first three Ivy matches at home. The Bulldogs host Princeton on Apr. 9 and Penn on Apr. 10. Both matches begin at noon.
