DERBY, Conn. – Yale women's crew looks ready for the postseason. The Bulldogs, ranked third in the latest CRCA national poll, rolled to five convincing victories to sweep Radcliffe and Northeastern on the Housatonic River. Yale's varsity eight posted a nearly 15-second victory over Radcliffe to win the Case Cup for the ninth straight season.
 
"The Yale-Harvard rivalry is the best in sports. It brings out the best in every athlete," said Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "Adding Northeastern to the mix just adds to the competitive racing. It was a good day for YWC."
 
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Ivy League Championship on May 15 in Cherry Hill, N.J.
 
Yale dominated the five races on Saturday. The varsity eight had a time of 6:05.90. Radcliffe was second in 6:19.43 followed by Northeastern in 6:24.87.
 
The second varsity eight cruised to victory as well, finishing in 6:17.10. Radcliffe was second in 6:32.37 followed by Northeastern in 6:55.19.
 
The margin of victory was similar for Yale's varsity four, which had a time of 6:51.90. Northeastern was second in 7:08.02 and Radcliffe was third in 7:09.78.
 
Yale had the top two finishers in the second varsity four. The 2V4 had a time of 6:57.18 and the 3V4 posted a time of 7:14.90. Northeastern (7:27.37) was third and Radcliffe did not race.
 
Yale's third varsity eight had a nearly 24-second victory with a time of 6:18.70. Radcliffe (6:42.39) was second followed by Northeastern (6:43.34).
