NEW HAVEN, Conn. --
Jake Gehri and
Colton Shaw both homered for Yale in a loss to Penn on Friday afternoon.
The Quakers jumped out to an 8-0 lead and went on to win 27-4. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m.
In the fourth inning, Gehri and Shaw launched homers. Gehri hit a solo homer his eighth of the season and seventh in league play.Â
Later in the inning,
AJ Gaich drew a walk and stole second. Shaw followed with a two-run blast to left. Â
Mason LaPlante doubled to lead off the fifth and advanced to third on a ground out.Â
Ben Metzner singled to score LaPlante to account for Yale's final run of the game.
