HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England – Yale's eight will race for the Island Challenge Cup championship on the final day of the Henley Royal Regatta on Sunday. In a thrilling semifinal, the Bulldogs came from behind to defeat a crew from the University of London by ½ a length. Yale finished with a time 7:14.
 
The Bulldogs fell behind early in the semifinal but used a strong push to grab the lead and never relinquished it.

"It was a very tough race today," said Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "London threw it at us. They are a very good crew."
 
Sunday's final will be an all-Ivy League affair. Yale faces an eight from Brown at 12:40 p.m. London time.
