How It Happened
- Brown scored the opening goal at the 12:02 mark of the first period on the powerplay.
- It was then Yale's turn on the powerplay. Vita Poniatovskaia first dished a pass to Charlotte Welch on the half-wall. Welch slid it up to Elle Hartje, who charged toward net and fired in the equalizer.
- After a scoreless second frame, Poniatovskaia gave Yale the go-ahead goal with 15:21 remaining behind a roundabout goal thrown on net that went in.
- The Bulldogs continued to find a groove in the later stages of the period. Welch had her hand in the pot once again, leaving a drop pass for Tijana Miskovic to sauce over to Carina DiAntonio for the three-goal lead.
- Hartje capped the scoring with her second of the night, this time an empty netter, with 21 seconds remaining in the game to seal the victory further.
- Pia Dukaric made 11 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
