NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team opened play in the MLK Invitational at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center facing a strong Memphis squad. The Tigers won the three doubles matches and six of seven singles matches.

Vignesh Gogineni posted an impressive 6-4, 6-2 win over Memphis' Jeremy Taylor.
The tournament, which features individual play and no team scores, continues on Saturday. Memphis faces Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. and Yale plays Charlotte at 2 p.m.
