NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It was a long and successful day for the Yale men's tennis team. The Bulldogs posted a pair of victories, defeating Binghamton 7-0 in the morning and Fairfield 6-1 later in the afternoon.
Yale dropped only two sets in the win over the Bearcats.
Theo Dean earned a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 1 singles position.
In doubles, Dean teamed with
Michael Sun to win 7-6, taking the deciding tiebreaker 7-5.
Against Fairfield,
Luke Neal and
Renaud Lefevre had the easiest victories. Neal was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the No. 4 position, while Lefevre was a 6-1, 6-4 winner at No. 6.
The Bulldogs are back home on Sunday, hosting Temple at noon at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
