NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After a break for exams and the holidays, the Yale men's swimming and diving team returns to action at Cornell. The diving portion of the meet is set for Tuesday at 5 p.m., while the swimming events will be held on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m.
The Bulldogs have been off since a convincing victory over Southern Connecticut on Dec. 8.
Noah Millard set a pool record in the 400 individual medley with a time of 3:48.38 and also captured the 200 butterfly in 1:52.53.
Jack Maketa and
Connor Lee were also double winners. Maketa won the 100 freestyle in 46.98 and the 1000 free in 10:01.90. Lee won the 100 breaststroke in 57.70 and the 50 freestyle in 20.91.
This will be Yale's third Ivy meet of the season. The Bulldogs defeated Brown 194-106 on Nov. 4 and dropped a heartbreaker to Columbia, 151-149, on Nov. 12.
The Cornell meet is the start of a busy week for Yale, which hosts Dartmouth and Penn this weekend at Kiphuth Pool.
