Bulldogs Finish Well at IC4As

BRONX, N.Y. – The Yale men's cross country team was blessed with a cool but sunny day at Van Cortlandt Park for the IC4A Championships Friday morning. Braden King on his season debut led the team to a 21st place finish. The Bulldogs worked together well to pack up early on, allowing for a good performance.

The race:
  • The Bulldogs were led home by Braden King, who closed quickly to make up places.
  • Junior Austin Montini ran a strong race and was rewarded with a new 8k PR.
  • Tanish Chettiar and Jack Sendek finished close together with Sendek having a storming finish to gain 11 places.
  • Sophomore Will Sheehy rounded out the scoring places just outside his PR, on what is a tough course.
  • Full results can be found here.

Up next:
  • The Bulldogs now look to the Ivy League Heps championships on Oct. 28 in Boston at Franklin Park, a good test against strong teams.
