NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Bulldogs continue their road swing to start the second half of Ivy League play with matches at Princeton and Penn this weekend.  

Yale notes:
  • The Bulldogs (13-3, 8-0 Ivy) own a two-match lead over Princeton (9-7, 6-2 Ivy) in the conference standings heading into Friday's match.  
  • Yale swept Brown last weekend in Providence to begin a stretch of five straight matches on the road for the Bulldogs.
  • Gigi Barr was named Ivy League Player of the Week after recording 10 kills on 11 swings without an error (.909 hitting percentage) and a career-best three service aces.  Barr now ranks second in the conference in hitting percentage (.404) in Ivy matches.
  • In the third set last Friday, the Bulldogs had 14 kills, had only one attack error and hit .433 in a 25-23 victory to close out the match.
  • Audrey Leak continues to be on fire in Ivy League play.  The junior had a team-high 16 kills in the victory over Brown last Friday and leads the conference with a 4.23 kills per set average in Ivy matches.  Leak is third behind Gigi Barr in hitting percentage (.367) in conference play.
  • Arya Jue had a career-high 17 digs against Brown last Friday. 
  • Carly Diehl has 38 assists and six digs in the victory over Brown last week.  Diehl leads the Ivy League in conference matches with a 11.54 assists per set average.  
Scouting Princeton
Yale defeated Princeton 3-1 on Sept. 30.  The Tigers feature first-year Kamryn Chaney who leads Princeton and ranks first in the Ivy League in service aces per set (0.44), second in points per set (4.01) and third in in kills per set (3.27).  Fellow first-year Sydney Draper leads both the team and the conference in assists per set (10.46), a number that also ranks No. 23 nationally.

Scouting Penn
The Bulldogs defeated the Quakers 3-0 back on Sept. 29.  Penn enters the weekend 3-15 overall and 1-7 in Ivy matches.  First-year Zada Sanger averages 3.37 kills per set is 17th nationally among first-year hitters.
