NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team heads to South Carolina for a pair of matches this weekend. The Bulldogs meet the University of South Carolina on Friday at 5 p.m. and then face Furman on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Yale won two of three matches at the ECAC Indoor Championship last weekend, dropping a heartbreaking 4-3 decision to Columbia before rallying for a 4-3 win over Penn and a 4-0 victory over Dartmouth.

This is the first of back-to-back trips South for the Bulldogs, who will compete in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic on Feb. 24-25.

The Yale match will be the second of two on the day for South Carolina, which hosts Coastal Carolina first at 1 p.m. USC has a 1-3 record on the spring.

Furman hosts Florida Atlantic on Friday. The Paladins won their first SoCon match on Feb. 5, blanking UNC Greensboro 7-0.
