Bulldogs Blank Harvard to Advance to ECAC Semifinals

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 2/2 Yale women's hockey team defeated Harvard, 4-0, to advance to the ECAC Hockey tournament semifinals. The top-seeded Bulldogs improved to 28-2-1 overall, while the eighth-seeded Crimson ended their season 7-21-3.

Scoring Summary

  • P1, 14:33 | Tijana Miskovic started the play that led to Yale's first goal and eventual game-winner. The sophomore slid a puck up to Elle Hartje in the neutral zone. Hartje skated into the offensive zone and dropped a pass back to Grace Lee, who lasered a shot into the back of the net from the top of the circles.
  • P3, 10:35 | Charlotte Welch made a power move towards goal from the corner and found Carina DiAntonio hanging out all alone in front for the one touch and in.
  • P3, 11:13 | A shot from Emma Seitz at the point saw the puck tipped from Claire Sedgewick to Grace Lee and into the net.
  • P3, 14:14 | Hartje kept doing Hartje things. The junior skated from Yale's defensive zone, and found a seam between four Harvard players to connect with Anna Bargman for the Bulldogs' fourth and final goal.

  • Hartje extended her point streak to 17 games.
  • Yale extended its single-season program record for wins with 28.
  • This was the seventh game-winning goal of Grace Lee's career and her second of the season. She scored the game-winner in the first game of the series as well.
  • Charlotte Welch is on a five-game point streak.

Yale will await the results from the remaining quarterfinals seeds to determine who they will face in the conference semifinals next week.
