PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale softball team was edged by Princeton, 3-2, to close out the season series at Strubing Field. The loss puts Yale at 5-12 overall and 0-3 in the Ivy League, while the Tigers improved to 7-12 overall and 3-0 in the Ivy.

How It Happened
- T2 | After Maddie Latta hit a lead-off triple, Libby Peoples singled to left center to drive her in.
- B2 | Princeton's Sophia Marsalo tied the game at one with a solo home run to start the inning. The Tigers grabbed two hits in the next two at bats. Julia Dumais then hit a sacrifice fly, allowing a base runner to score for the lead.
- B4 | A two-out single scored Princeton's third run.
- T5 | The Bulldogs made strides in the fifth. Lauren Perren worked the count to earn first before Willa Ferrer stepped to the plate and knocked a double to center field. With runners on second and third, Maddie Latta hit an infield groundout that scored Perren from the corner.
- Princeton's stingy offerings from the circle allowed them to sweep the season series against Yale.
