NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team has played a very challenging schedule this spring to prepare for Ivy League play. The Bulldogs met six teams currently in the ITA top 75 computer rankings. The Ivy opener brings a significant test as well. Yale travels to Brown, ranked 65th, on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Yale (8-9) played its final non-conference match last Saturday, falling to No. 70 Boston University 5-2. The Bulldogs got singles victories from Rhea Shrivastava and Chelsea Kung. Kung, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, has won each of her last three singles matches.

It will be a challenging start to the Ivy season for Yale, which plays four of its first five matches away from home.

Brown (10-6) is back from a trip to Texas where the Bears played three matches, including a 4-0 win over Texas State on Wednesday. The highlight of Brown's season so far was winning the ECAC Indoor Championship in February by defeating Penn, Columbia and Princeton. The Bears entered the tournament seeded No. 7.
