NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team posted an impressive victory, knocking off Indiana 4-0 at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. The win completed a perfect weekend for Yale, which defeated previously unbeaten NJIT on Friday.
Against IU, the Bulldogs earned the doubles point by winning two of the three matches.
Theo Dean and
Aidan Reilly earned a 6-3 victory at No. 2, and
Eric Li and
Michael Sun won 6-4 at No. 3.
In singles, Dean, at No. 1,
Vignesh Gogineni, at No. 2, and
Walker Oberg, at No. 6, all cruised to straight sets victories to clinch the win.
Yale improved to 7-3 in the spring.
Next up is a trip to the West Coast during Spring Break. The Bulldogs will play four matches starting with UCLA on Mar. 14.
