MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – The Yale softball team fell to Hofstra in the final game of The Spring Games tournament, 6-5. The loss puts the Bulldogs at 5-6 overall, while the Pride improved to 5-10.
 
Scoring Plays

• Hofstra jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning with a solo home run to centerfield.
• In the bottom half of the inning, Willa Ferrer duplicated Hofstra's home run  in the top half to tie it.
• After Carolyn Skotz worked the count for a walk, Maddie Latta tripled down the right field line to score Skotz.
• Hofstra countered in the top of the fourth inning, scoring on a pair of doubles to left field.
• The Bulldogs would not go away and regained the lead in the fifth inning. Lauren Perren's infield hit scored Ava Kang to tie the game. Finally, a Willa Ferrer single up the middle brough in not only Nicole Conway, but also Kang for the two-run lead.
• The Pride responded in the top of the sixth with a two-run home run to right center field.
• Yale could not find the answer and went on to lose by one.

• Ava Kang went two-for-three with a RBI and a stolen base.
• Willa Ferrer went two-for-four with three RBI, and one run scored.
• Ferrer has hits in three-straight games.
• Carmen Muscolina went two-for-three.
