CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – It was another very successful day for the No. 3 nationally ranked Yale women's crew. On the Charles River, the Bulldogs captured the Case Cup for the 10th straight season, defeating Harvard by a comfortable margin in the varsity eight. Notre Dame finished third. That was one of five impressive results for Yale, which swept the Crimson and Irish to remain perfect on the season.
 
"It was a great day for us on the Charles," said Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "Yale-Radcliffe is a special rivalry and we look forward to it every year."
 
In the varsity eight, Yale posted a time of 6:24.6, nearly 10 seconds faster than second-place Harvard-Radcliffe (6:34.5). Notre Dame was third in 6:36.2.
 
The Bulldogs' second varsity eight won by more than 12 seconds, finishing in 6:30.5. Harvard-Radcliffe was second in 6:42.6, while the Irish crossed the line in 6:59.4.
 
In the varsity four, Yale was equally dominant, cruising to a nearly 20-second win over second place Notre Dame. The Bulldogs finished in 7:08.8 followed by Notre Dame (7:26.8) and Harvard-Radcliffe (7:38.4).
 
Yale had the top two finishing crews in the second varsity four and also easily won the third varsity eight.
 
The Bulldogs race Princeton and Texas next weekend on Lake Carnegie in New Jersey.
