PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale women's tennis team fell 5-0 at Princeton.
The No. 1 doubles match between Yale's
Vivian Cheng and
Rhea Shrivastava and Princeton's Daria Frayman and Grace Joyce was tied at 4-4 when it was stopped.
In singles, the featured match at No. 1 featured
Chelsea Kung and Frayman, who is No. 6 in the ITA computer singles rankings. Last year, Kung upset Frayman, who was ranked No. 1 in the nation at the time, as Yale handed Princeton its first Ivy League loss since 2017. Kung put up a strong effort but fell in straight sets, dropping the second set in a tiebreaker.
The Bulldogs, who have played four of their five Ivy matches on the road, are back home next weekend to host Columbia and Cornell.
