NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale's three seniors made the most of their final appearance at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
Vivian Cheng, Rhea Shrivastava and
Chelsea Kung were all part of victories as the Bulldogs ended the season in strong fashion with a 4-2 win over Cornell.
Shrivastava and Cheng teamed up for a doubles win at No. 1, cruising to a 6-3 victory. Kung also was a winner in doubles, teaming with
Ann Wright Guerry to post a 6-2 victory.
In singles, Shrivastava defeated Cornell's Lauren Stein 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2, and Cheng was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Alexandra Savu at No. 4.
The Bulldogs also got a singles wins from
Rebecca Lynn, 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5.
Yale ends it season with an 11-13 overall record and a 3-4 Ivy League mark.
