NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch Team 150 at the Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field this fall. The Bulldogs play seven home games in the historic stadium, the most since 1989.
Season tickets go on sale on Monday, May 1. Seats are available for as low as $99.
The 2023 season kicks off on Sept. 16 at noon when Holy Cross visits. The Crusaders are coming off a memorable season that saw them finish with a 12-1 overall record, including a victory over Yale in the Bulldogs' season opener. Holy Cross' only loss came in the second round of the NCAA FCS playoffs, 42-21 to No. 1 South Dakota State, which went on to win the NCAA championship.
Yale's Ivy League opener also will be played at home on Sept. 23 at noon against Cornell. Last year in Ithaca, first year
Joshua Pitsenberger scored three touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving, as the Bulldogs cruised to a 38-14 victory.
It's back in the Bowl for Week No. 3 as Morgan State makes its first appearance in New Haven since 1984, a 41-0 Yale victory in the only meeting between the teams. The Bulldogs are hosting an HBCU for the second straight season. Last October, Yale edged Howard 34-26 in the NAACP Harmony Classic.
The first road game takes the Bulldogs to New Hampshire on Oct. 7 for a matchup against Dartmouth.
Sacred Heart comes to the Bowl for the final non-Ivy game on Oct. 14. It will be the first meeting between the two Connecticut schools, and the first time the Bulldogs have hosted an in-state opponent since UConn in 1998.
The stretch drive of league play begins with back-to-back home weekends – Penn, which handed Yale its only Ivy loss last fall, on Oct. 21 and Columbia on Oct. 28. Both are noon kickoffs.
Yale is then on the road for its next two Ivy games – at Brown on Nov. 4 and at Princeton on Nov. 11.
The season concludes with the 139th playing of The Game at the Bowl on Nov. 18. Last year in Cambridge, the Bulldogs clinched the Ivy League championship with a thrilling 19-14 victory over Harvard.
Yale is in the midst of a very successful stretch. The Bulldogs, who finished 8-2 overall and 6-1 in Ivy play last fall, have won three Ivy titles in the last five seasons.
