NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs exploded to win three straight sets and won their Ivy League opener in front of a raucous crowd at the John J. Lee Amphitheater on Friday night. The scores of the match were 23-25, 16-25,. 25-23, 25-23 and 18-16.

Erin Appleman said. "We showed our depth and had a lot of people step up and provide a spark."

- Gigi Barr had 11 kills and hit .409, while Isabella Mendoza had 10 over the final three sets.
- Laurece Abraham had four clutch kills in the fourth set, and Audrey Leak had a key kill and solo block in the fifth.
- Bella Chan, Carly Diehl and Somera each had two service aces. The Bulldogs held an 8-5 edge in the match.
