BOSTON, Mass. - A mixture of first years and sophomores braved the rainy conditions in style on Saturday at Franklin Park's Codfish Bowl Invitational. Lead home by first year
Daegan Cutter, who romped home to victory over the 8k distance, the team placed an impressive 2nd overall in what should be an encouraging sign as the Bulldogs head deeper into the season.
The Race:
- Cutter earned his first collegiate "dub" in just his second race for the Bulldogs, kicking away from the competition in the closing stages to cross the line in a blistering time of 25:14 on the difficult Franklin Park course.
- First year Brian Gamble had a strong opening to his collegiate career, running 25:22 for fourth overall.
- Sophomores Alex Mader and Will Sheehy both snuck under 26 minutes, with times of 25:52 and 25:58 respectively.
- First year pairing Caden Montini and Ronan Luff had impressive 8k debuts, running 26:31 and 26:51 to bring the team home in second overall.
