NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's soccer team picked a point in the conference standings with a 1-1 draw against Princeton on Saturday evening at Reese Stadium. First year
Joseph Farouz scored in the 61
st minute to give Yale the lead, but a late equalizer from Princeton resulted in a tie.
The Bulldogs earned their second conference draw of the season and move to 4-3-2 overall. The Tigers are now 3-3-1 as a result.
"It was an uncharacteristic start from us tonight and I don't think we had the right energy and mentality," said
Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "However, I thought we responded very well in the second half and got back to playing how we are capable. Everyone in the league is fighting for points so we knew there would be ups and downs in the game and it's about managing those better than the other team and also make sure we finish games stronger. "
