HANOVER, N.H. – The Yale men's swimming and diving team split a tri-meet with Dartmouth and Penn on Saturday. The Bulldogs beat Dartmouth 224-76 but fell to Penn 156-144.
Yale had a strong showing in the diving. In the 3-meter
Nicholas Chau (327.50) finished first followed by
Maks Sawoniewicz (325.05). The Bulldogs also went 1-2 in the 1-meter with
Jean Paul Ditto (316.90) winning followed by
Kevin Bradley (287.15).
In the swimming,
Deniel Nankov won both the 100 (45.58) and 200 (1:40.40) freestyles.
Charlie Egeland captured the 200 breaststroke in 2:00.60. The 200 medley relay team of Nankov, Egeland,
Marcus Hodgson and
Lucius Brown finished first with a time of 1:30.20.
The Bulldogs are right back in action on Monday when they take on Cornell at Kiphuth Pool. The swimming events begin at 11 a.m. followed by the diving at 3 p.m.
