NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It's back on the road for the Yale men's basketball team, which has played 12 of its 17 games away from home. Coming off a dominant 89-70 win over Columbia at Lee Amphitheater on Monday, the Bulldogs are headed to New Hampshire to face Dartmouth on Saturday. Tipoff at Leede Arena is slated for 2 p.m.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The Bulldogs (11-6, 2-0 Ivy) have won four straight games and six of their last seven. The only blemish came at then No. 2 Kansas, 75-60 on Dec. 22 in a game that was closer than the final score indicates. The score was tied with 13 minutes remaining, and Yale had an 11-point advantage midway through the first half and was ahead by one at halftime.

• The Bulldogs are seeking their best start to Ivy play since the 2019-20 team won their first four league games.

• Yale's six non-conference losses all came to teams that are currently over .500. Three of the losses came by four points or less and a fourth was in overtime.

• Four Bulldogs average double figures in scoring.

• Danny Wolf, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Week and the team's leading scorer at 14.4 ppg., has posted double-doubles in each of his last three games. In Monday's victory over Columbia, he scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Wolf has six double-doubles on the season and leads the Ivy League in rebounding (9.5 rpg.) and blocks (27).

• In his last four games, John Poulakidas is averaging 18.5 points, while shooting 53.3 percent (16-of-30) from three-point range. In Monday's win over Columbia, he was 7-of-9 from beyond the arc and scored a season-high 26 points. The seven treys were a career high and one shy of the school record. Poulakidas is fourth in the league in three-pointers made (2.53 per game) and seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.453).

• Bez Mbeng has scored in double figures in each of the last five games, including a 12-point effort against Columbia. Mbeng is second in the league in assists (3.7 per game) and steals (1.8 per game) and fifth in minutes played (32.3 per game).

• Yale leads the Ivy League in field goal percentage defense (.412) and is second in scoring defense (67.9 ppg.) and rebounding margin (+4.8).

• The Bulldogs are 10-2 when they outrebound their opponents.

HISTORY LESSONS

The Bulldogs have won 13 of the last 14 meetings with Dartmouth and lead the all-time series 121-98. The first meeting came in 1900, a 10-8 Yale win in a game played in Boston.
