NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team opened the spring season with an impressive 7-0 victory over Fairfield at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. The Bulldogs didn't drop a set to the Stags, the MAAC preseason favorite.
Vignesh Gogineni won at the No. 1 position, defeating Fairfield's Thomas Smart 7-5, 6-3.
Walker Oberg posted a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles.
The Bulldogs are right back at home on Sunday, hosting Quinnipiac at noon.
