Bulldogs Earn Road Victory Over Mercyhurst

ERIE, Pa. – The Yale women's ice hockey team picked up its first win of 2024, defeating Mercyhurst 2-0 on the road. Captain Elle Hartje recorded both goals for the Bulldogs, who earned the big non-conference victory over a tough Lakers team.

With the win, Yale improves to 10-8-0, while Mercyhurst falls to 8-12-1.

"This was a very good bounce back game for the team tonight with a complete 60-minute focus," said Mark Bolding, Susan Cavanagh Head Coach of Women's Hockey. "We had great structure in our forecheck and defensively we did not give Mercyhurst a lot of room to attack our net. It was nice to get the shutout for Pia and the win for the team."
