ERIE, Pa. – The Yale women's ice hockey team picked up its first win of 2024, defeating Mercyhurst 2-0 on the road. Captain
Elle Hartje recorded both goals for the Bulldogs, who earned the big non-conference victory over a tough Lakers team.
With the win, Yale improves to 10-8-0, while Mercyhurst falls to 8-12-1.
"This was a very good bounce back game for the team tonight with a complete 60-minute focus," said
Mark Bolding, Susan Cavanagh Head Coach of Women's Hockey. "We had great structure in our forecheck and defensively we did not give Mercyhurst a lot of room to attack our net. It was nice to get the shutout for Pia and the win for the team."

- Yale extended its winning streak over Mercyhurst to three games.
- Hartje tallied her seventh and eighth goals and leads the team with 24 points.
- Goaltender Pia Dukaric recorded her third shutout of the season, stopping 14 shots en route to victory. Dukaric's shutout was her 16th career, tying her for first on Yale's all-time list.
- First year Avery Muhn made her collegiate debut on defense.
