NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs continue their road trip to start the Ivy League season with matches at Penn and Princeton this weekend.
Notes heading into the weekend:
- Yale opened the Ivy League season with a 3-0 sweep at Brown last Saturday.
- Laurece Abraham averaged 4.33 kills per set against the Bears and was named Ivy League Player of the Week.  Abraham leads the Ivy League in hitting percentage (.409). Â
- The Bulldogs have won six of seven matches entering the weekend - and took a game in a 3-1 loss at No. 3 Penn State in their only loss during the stretch.
- Betsy Goodenow continues to lead the Bulldogs with a 3.47 kills per set average, while averaging a 2.58 digs per set. Â
- Arya Jue had a season-high 16 digs at Brown and is averaging 2.71 per set on the season.
- The Bulldogs lead the Ivy League in kills per set (13.16).
Scouting Penn
The Quakers enter the weekend 7-4 overall and have already surpassed their win total from last year. Penn split a pair of matches against Princeton last weekend. Setter Emery Moore earned her second straight Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor on Monday.
Scouting Princeton
The Tigers are 3-8 entering the weekend and 1-1 in Ivy play. Sophomore Kamryn Chaney leads the Ivy League in points-per-set (4.70), and kills (4.02), ranking 40th and 49th nationally. Chaney also ranks fourth in the Ivy League in service aces (0.34).
