Payton Bryan had a career-best weekend and was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday by the conference office.
The outside hitter from Jupiter, Florida, averaged 4.25 kills, hit .508 as an outside hitter, and went for back-to-back career-highs in kills in both Yale road victories last weekend. Bryan had 19 kills (4.75 per set) and hit .643 in a victory at Princeton last Saturday.
In the 3-1 win over the Tigers, Bryan had 19 kills on 28 swings with only one error. The night before, Bryan had 15 kills and hit .394 with four digs and two blocks in a 3-1 victory against the Quakers.
The Bulldogs have won eight of nine matches and started the Ivy League season with three straight road wins. Yale returns home this weekend with matches against Cornell and Columbia.
