Bulldogs Edge Miami To Open Weekend Action

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Devyn Sargent and Jessey Li each claimed two individual events and swam a leg of the winning 200 medley relay as the Yale University women's swimming and diving team defeated the University of Miami, 155-139.

  • The 200 medley relay of Sargent, Li, Alex Massey and Sara Plunkett captured that event in 1:40.42.
  • Sergeant collected the top spot in the 100 backstroke in 55.40, edging out teammate Mabel Koff by .15. She also led the field in the 200 IM in 2:04.54.
  • Li won the 100 breaststroke with a final time of 1:01.16. She also claimed first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:16.38.
  • Grace Wu took first place on the three-meter board with a score of 303.45.
  • Koff finished first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:58.82.
  • Mariana Huang compiled a score of 290.10 to finish first on the one-meter board.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow for a home meet against Brown.
