STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Yale men's basketball team picked up a dominant road victory against Stony Brook, 86-64. The win gives Yale its third victory of the season.

Statistical Leaders
- John Poulakidas put up a solid offensive performance with 22 points on 8-12 shooting from the field and 4-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
- Two other Bulldogs brought in double-figure point totals as Nick Townsend registered 18 points and Yassine Gharram brought in 13 points.
- Townsend, Gharram, and Isaac Celiscar led the team in boards, with nine, seven, and seven, respectively.

Game Notes
- Yale opened the game on a 22-4 run through the first seven minutes of play and led by double-digits from the 11:50 mark of the first half and on.
- The Bulldogs' largest lead was 27 points, which came at two different points of the game. First, at the 7:15 mark of the first half, and then again at the 2:06 mark of the second half.
- In the first half, Yale shot 61.5% from three-point range on 8-13 shooting compared to Stony Brook's 42.9% shooting (3-7).
- In total, Yale out rebounded Stony Brook 44-31. They have out rebounded their opponents in all but one game this season. Â
- As a team, Yale had a season-high 10 steals.

- John Poulakidas continued his offensive dominance and picked up his sixth game in double figure points. He has scored 20+ points in four of six games this season.
- In the first half, Poulakidas was 6-7 from the field and 3-4 from beyond the arc – good for 15 points.
- Nick Townsend, who had a career day the last time these two teams met, had 13 points in the first half on 5-8 shooting.
- Eight of Townsend's nine rebounds were on the defensive end.
- Tonight's win puts Head Coach James Jones at 399 career victories.
