Quoting Reno
"Just so proud of the team. It was an amazing season with these guys," said Tony Reno, Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach. "So proud with how they played and so proud with how they fought through adversity. One of the things we talked about right near the end of the season after our seventh game was how do we want to be remembered and what is the legacy of Team 151. It could not be any sweeter today."
Â
Closing Thoughts
With the victory, Yale spoiled Harvard's chances of being the sole owner of the Ivy League trophy this season. The Crimson share the title with both Dartmouth and Columbia, who both earned victories. Harvard has not been the sole owner of the title since the 2014 season. The Bulldogs finish their season with a 7-3 overall record and a 4-3 conference record. They went 4-1 at home and went undefeated in conference play.
