CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Yale women's tennis team will play for the ECAC Indoor Championship. The Bulldogs, seeded fifth, edged No. 1 seed Princeton 4-2 to advance to Sunday's final match.
Yale won the doubles point behind victories from
Orly Ogilvy and
Mirabelle Brettkelly and
Shyla Aggarwal and
Erin Ha.
The singles matches were tightly contested. Ogilvy, at No. 2, and Ha, at No. 4, both needed three sets to win. Brettkelly cruised to a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 3.
The championship match is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday. The Bulldogs face No. 3 seed Columbia, who beat No. 2 Brown on Saturday.
