STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – In a thriller that came down to the final singles match, the Yale women's tennis team edged Penn State 4-3.
Rebecca Lynn's victory at No. 6 singles clinched the win for the Bulldogs, who are now 8-1 in the spring. Lynn lost the first set but rallied to win the next two 7-5 and 6-2.
Yale, which lost the doubles point, also got a crucial singles win from
Orly Ogilvy at No. 1. Her three-set match was decided in a tiebreaker which she won 7-5.
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Alabama next weekend.
