Ivy League Championship Next Up for Bulldogs

Events start on Wednesday and run through Saturday

 
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's swimming and diving team heads to Harvard this week for the Ivy League Championship. A pair of relays kick off the event on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. On Thursday through Saturday, the prelims are at 11 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m. All sessions of the championship will be streamed on ESPN+
 
Yale has been off since competing in the HYP meet at the beginning of the month where several Bulldogs had strong performances. Charlie Egeland captured both the 100 and 200 breaststroke, including setting a new school record (1:55.38) in the 200 breaststroke.
 
Deniel Nankov finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 19.85 and was fourth in the 100 freestyle (43.47).
 
In the 1-meter diving event, Jean Paul Ditto finished fourth with a score of 312.50. At last year's championship Ditto placed second off the 3-meter board.
 
In the 500 freestyle at HYPs, Konstantinos Zachariadis was third with a time of 4:24.13.
 
The Bulldogs placed third at last year's championship. Harvard is the defending champion.
