Bulldogs Down Brown

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-1 victory over Brown at Ingalls Rink. The Bulldogs improved to 10-13-1 overall and 7-9-1 in ECAC Hockey, while the Bears fell to 8-13-2 overall and 6-8-1 in the conference.
 
Scoring Summary
  • P1, 8:34 | On the penalty kill, Elan Bar-Lev-Wise ripped a shot that went wide of the net and bounced off the back wall. Reilly Connors cleaned up in front of the net and gave Yale the lead.
  • P2, 6:54 | Brown netted the equalizer in the second period.
  • P2, 8:51 | A missed wrap around attempt by the Bulldogs ricocheted out to David Chen at the top of the circle as Chen ripped a missile into the back of the net.
  • P3, 19:50.1 | Yale tallied an empty-net goal with just under ten seconds remaining.

  • Jack Stark made 19 saves in goal and captured his eighth win of the season.
  • As a team, Yale notched its sixth shorthanded goal this year and are tied for first in the conference.
  • The Bulldogs swept the season series with Brown having picked up the overtime win in their season opener.
  • Yale is now unbeaten in its last four-straight tilts. The last time the squad did this was back in 2018 when they went unbeaten in six-straight games from Nov. 23 to Dec. 8.
  • Reilly Connors picked up his first goal of the season and his second-career shorthanded goal. 
  • David Chen recorded his team-leading ninth goal of the year.
