DERBY, Conn. – Yale lightweight crew has announced its schedule for the 2024 spring racing season.
The season begins on Saturday, Mar. 30 at the neutral location of Mercer County State Park in New Jersey, where the Bulldogs will face the United States Naval Academy for the Johnson and Van Amringe Cups.
The following week, Yale hosts the first home race of the season -- against the Georgetown Hoyas in Derby, Conn.
On Apr. 13, the Bulldogs will go on the road to Overpeck Park Lake in New Jersey to vie for the Dodge Cup against Ivy League opponents Columbia and Penn. Yale will travel again on Apr. 20 for a head-to-head matchup at Dartmouth, where the Bulldogs will compete for the Durand Cup.
To round out the regular season, the Y150 will welcome historic rivals Harvard and Princeton to Derby, Conn., on Apr. 27, with the Goldthwait and Vogel Cups at stake.
The Eastern Sprints will take place on May 19 in Worcester, Mass. Finally, the IRA Championships will be hosted at Mercer Lake in New Jersey May 31-June 2.
