ITHACA, N.Y. – The Yale men's lacrosse team suffered just its second loss of the season Saturday, falling 18-15 to Cornell at Schoellkopf Field. The Big Red utilized a 5-1 run in the third quarter to turn a 7-7 game into a 12-8 Cornell lead, then held that lead despite a pair of late runs by the Bulldogs. A 4-1 Yale run in the final 6:32 was not enough for the Bulldogs to catch the Big Red.
Yale (4-2, 1-1 Ivy League) has now scored at least 14 goals in each of its last five games. Cornell (5-2, 2-0 Ivy League) improved to 4-0 at home with the win.
