Sophie Woodridge, the Yale softball team erased a three-run deficit and defeated Dartmouth, 4-3, to close out the weekend series. Yale improved to 11-20 on the season and 6-3 in the Ivy, while Dartmouth moved to 6-10 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
Scoring Summary
- B2 | A two-out double to the fence scored Dartmouth's first two runs of the inning. The Big Green added a third run on a throwing error to make it 3-0.
- T4 | Libby Peoples got a rally started for the Bulldogs, dropping a single into shallow center field. Lauren Perren came to bat and gave Yale two baserunners with another single to left leaving room for Sophie Woodridge. Woodridge bombed a two-out, three run home run to left field that tied it for Yale.
- T6 | Carolyn Skotz and Lauren Perren reached base with a single and a freebie, respectively. In a familiar situation, Woodridge stepped to the plate and roped a two-out single up the middle that saw Skotz put the wheels on from second to score and take the lead.
- B7 | Dartmouth threatened late, bringing up the game-winning run at the plate. The batter lined a shot down to third base to Lauren Perren for the snag as Perren pelted the ball over to first for the double play and sealed the victory.

- Sophie Woodridge knocked her second home run of the season and sixth of her career.
- Woodridge knocked in her team-leading and career season best 20th RBI of the season.
- Emma Taylor tossed the complete game victory for her eighth of the season.
