NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team continues to excel in tight matches. The Bulldogs defeated Penn 4-3 at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, their second one-point victory in Ivy play.
Yale improved to 15-6 overall and 3-1 in Ivy play with the victory.
The doubles matches were tightly contested. Yale's duo of
Jamie Kim and
Shyla Aggarwal won in a tiebreaker to earn the Bulldogs the point.
Ann Wright Guerry and
Orly Ogilvy had won 7-5 in the No. 2 doubles position.
In singles, Yale got straight sets victories from
Erin Ha, Aggarwal and
Rebecca Lynn.
The Bulldogs host Princeton on Sunday at 1 p.m.
