NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team fell to No. 8 Columbia on the Yale Outdoor Courts.
The doubles point was hotly contested. At No. 1,
Theo Dean and
Aidan Reilly knocked off the nation's No. 13 ranked duo of Theo Winegar and Michael Zheng 7-5. The Lions, though, won the other two matches, including a 7-5 victory in the No. 2 position.
In singles. Dean posted an impressive 6-2, 7-5 victory over No. 91 Alex Kotzen at No. 2.
In the No. 1 position,
Vignesh Gogineni gave Zheng, who is ranked No. 21, all he could handle before falling 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Bulldogs are back home on Sunday, hosting Cornell at 1 p.m.
