DERBY, Conn. – The Yale women's crew was dominant in its final race of the regular season. The Bulldogs, ranked No. 6 in this week's CRCA poll, swept No. 20 Radcliffe on the Housatonic River. Yale easily won in the varsity eight to claim the Case Cup for the 11th straight year.
 
The victories came in front a large group of alumnae, friends and family as Yale celebrated the 50th anniversary of the program.
 
The Bulldogs posted a strong time of 6:21.9 in the varsity eight, nearly eight seconds faster than Radcliffe (6:29.6).
 
Yale had the top two finishers in the second varsity eight. The top 2V had a time of 6:25.9, while the third varsity eight crossed the line in 6:39.0. Radcliffe finished in 6:42.8.
 
The closest race of the morning was in the varsity four, but the Bulldogs still won by nearly five seconds – 7:00.9 to 7:05.1.
 
Yale's second varsity four beat two Radcliffe crews, finishing in 7:11.3, nearly eight seconds faster than the first Radcliffe crew.
 
"We raced well across the board," said Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "The Yale-Radcliffe rivalry is a special one and always important to us."
 
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Ivy League Championship on May 18-19 in Cherry Hill, N.J.
