NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Seven home runs over a two-game set helped power the Yale softball team to two victories over Cornell in Ivy play and sweep the series. Their wins included a 9-8 extra innings victory and a 7-3 victory. The Bulldogs improved to 14-20 overall and 9-3 in the conference, while the Big Red fell to 4-19 overall and 2-7 in the Ivy.

Game 1: Yale 9, Cornell 8 (8 innings)
- T1 | Cornell came out of the gates with two quick runs in the first on a hit and an error.
- T2 | It was all Big Red in the second inning. After going down two outs, Cornell rallied for four runs on a single and then a three-run home run.
- B2 | Sophie Woodridge tipped a 0-2 homer to left field to get Yale on the scoresheet.
- B3 | The Bulldogs were not quiet for long and a single to center field got Yale rolling. Carolyn Skotz knocked in the second run with a RBI double, and Libby Peoples followed that up with a RBI single of her own. Lauren Perren rounded out the scoring with a RBI double to score Yale's fourth run and cut Cornell's lead to two.
- T5 | The Big Red added a seventh run to their total and led by three.
- T6 | It was Cornell again who extended its lead to four runs.
- B6 | Hope was not lost as Yale rallied for a three-run sixth inning ignited by home runs from Carmen Muscolina and Willa Ferrer.
- B7 | Down a run and three outs away from defeat, Peoples blasted a lead-off solo home run to tie the game and force extra innings.
- B8 | After shutting down Cornell 1-2-3 in the top of the frame, Yale had both Ferrer and Fortini reach base. With runners in scoring position, Skotz hit a ball in the infield as Ferrer was breaking for home, getting under the tag to win it in walk-off fashion for the Bulldogs.

Game 2: Yale 7, Cornell 3
- B2 | Sophie Woodridge knocked a home run to center field for the game's first run.
- B4 | The Bulldogs were back on the board in the fourth, and who else, but Woodridge with another solo home run to center field to give Yale a two-run lead. Yale then rallied with two outs. The bases were loaded for Isabella Fortini, who knocked a two RBI single, and found herself on second. Carolyn Skotz ripped a shot down the left field line to score two more runs and give the Bulldogs a commanding six-run lead.
- T5 | Cornell cut Yale's lead to three, scoring on three-straight batters.
- B6 | Willa Ferrer bombed a first-pitch solo homer to right field to make it seven runs for the Bulldogs.

- Hannah Turner pitched 6.1 innings, allowing just two runs, had four strikeouts to earn the game one win.
- Meredith Henderson pitched five innings in game two and earned the victory.
- Willa Ferrer went 5-for-7 including two home runs and two doubles, with three RBI and four runs scored.
- Sophie Woodridge went 4-for-7 on the day with three home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored.
- Libby Peoples went 3-for-4 in game one including a game-tying home run, two RBI, and two runs scored.
