NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Five home dates, including a local foe making its first appearance at Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field, highlight the 2024 Yale football schedule. All five home games are scheduled for noon kickoffs at the Bowl.
#Team151 once again begins the season with a big challenge as the Bulldogs travel to Worcester, Mass., on Sept. 21 to face a Holy Cross team that has posted a 29-8 record over the last three seasons and made two appearances in the FCS Playoffs.
Yale begins defense of its back-to-back Ivy League titles with a trip to Cornell on Sept. 28. The Big Red will be under the direction of first-year head coach Dan Swanstrom.
The home opener at the Bowl on Oct. 5 brings the first visit from Central Connecticut. Yale is the first of two Ivy League opponents for the Blue Devils, who play at Dartmouth two weeks later.
Prior to hosting CCSU, the Big Green meet the Bulldogs at the Bowl on Oct. 12. The last three Yale-Dartmouth games have been decided by seven points or less.
The final non-league game features an old friend at the Bowl. Kevin Cahill, Yale's former offensive coordinator, brings his Lehigh team to town on Oct. 19. Cahill is in his second season as the head coach of the Mountain Hawks.
The Bulldogs then hit the road for two straight Ivy games – Oct. 26 at Penn and Nov. 2 at Columbia.
The stretch drive of league play begins on Nov. 9 when Brown visits the Bowl, and that is followed by a second straight home game against Princeton on Nov. 16 when Yale will honor its senior class.
The season concludes with the 140th playing of The Game on Nov. 23 at Harvard Stadium. The Bulldogs have won the last two meetings with the Crimson, including a 23-18 victory last November at Yale Bowl.
