Presthus' Late Goal Propels Bulldogs to Win Over Quinnipiac

Box Score HAMDEN, Conn. – After going down with an injury late in the second half, TJ Presthus momentarily left the game only to return and deliver the game-winning goal against Quinnipiac on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs topped the Bobcats 2-1 on the road thanks to a header off a corner kick from Yale's captain. Nick Miller also scored his first collegiate goal to give the Elis their second consecutive win.

With the victory, the Bulldogs improved to 2-4-1 while the Bobcats fell to 2-4-1.

"This was a really tough game and we were far from our best, and especially in the first half, but I'm proud of the guys to find a way to get our first road win," said Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "We will be in a lot of close games and it's important to find ways to win those. We took far too long to get into the game but our guys that started the second half gave us a good spark of effort to get us into the game. Great to see Nick score his first career goal and TJ has stepped up his leadership to another level to help elevate the group."
