NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The two-time defending Ivy League champion Yale women's volleyball team begins the 2024 conference slate at Brown on Saturday.Â
- The Bulldogs won five of six matches to close out the non-conference schedule.
- Betsy Goodenow on Monday was named Ivy League Player of the Week and last weekend was named to the Penn State Classic All-Tournament team.
- Goodenow leads the Bulldogs with a 3.49 kills per set average, and is third on the team at 2.60 digs per set.
- Laurece Abraham is 32nd in the nation with a .410 hitting percentage and is second on the team with 88 kills and a 2.51Â per set average.Â
- Carly Diehl, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, leads the Bulldogs with 325 assists and 11 service aces, while also averaging 1.11 kills per set while hitting .354. Diehl also averages 2.86 kills per set.
Scouting Brown
Brown is 3-6 entering the conference season. The Bears will be playing their first home match of the season. Brown is led by Beau Vanderlaan, who has earned All-Ivy First Team in her first three seasons.
