Bulldogs Upset No. 7 Clarkson on the Road

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Yale women's ice hockey team recorded its biggest win of the season to date, upsetting No. 7 Clarkson on the road Friday evening. The Bulldogs took down the Golden Knights, 2-1, thanks to goals from Gracie Gilkyson and Anna Bargman, and a strong performance from goaltender Pia Dukaric between the pipes. 

With the victory, the Bulldogs improved to 11-7-2 record overall and a 6-6-1 mark in the ECAC. Yale currently sits in sixth place in the conference standings with 20.5 total points. Clarkson dropped to 18-6-1 overall and 9-4-0 in the ECAC.

  • P2, 17:26 | YALE GOAL! Mariya Rauf skated into the attacking zone and delivered a perfect cross-ice pass to Gilkyson who finished off a wristshot, giving the Bulldogs the lead near the end of the period. 1-0 YALE
  • P2, 18:35 | YALE GOAL! Less that one minute later, Yale added its second goal of the game. After a Stephanie Stainton wrist shot was stopped by Clarkson goaltender Adreanna Doucette, Bargman converted the rebound shot to double up the Bulldogs' lead. 2-0 YALE
  • P3, 19:10 | Clarkson cut into the lead with a power play goal with just over one minute remaining in regulation. 2-1 YALE
Game Notes
  • Friday's victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Bulldogs against the Golden Knights.
  • Mark Bolding earned his 98th win as the Susan Cavanaugh Head Coach of the Bulldogs.
  • Gilkyson netted her third goal of the season.
  • Bargman scored her eighth goal of the year. She is third on the team in that category.
  • Rauf recorded her fifth assist. She has two goals and five assists in four games to begin the 2025 calendar year.
  • Dukaric stopped 20 shots while only conceding a single goal.
